AIEA Thematic Forum: The Future of Virtual Exchange: Bridging Global Communities from Multidisciplinary Approaches

Friday, April 3, 2026 (9:00 AM - 5:00 PM) (EDT)

Description

Atlanta Global Studies Center (AGSC) in coordination with Office of International Initiatives (OII) at Georgia State University invite you to join us in this Virtual Exchange Symposium. This symposium aims to contribute to promoting cross-cultural understanding and mutual understanding from different regions globally. The lineup of panelists and speakers reflects a fundamentally humanities-centered multidisciplinary approach to deeply dive into the central role that Virtual Exchange can play in connecting cultures across various educational contexts and interdisciplinary approaches. At its core, the event aims to build common identities, shared esteem, connection, and belonging among students, faculty, researchers, and practitioners. This symposium is funded by Association of International Education Administrators (AIEA).

Some topics to be highlighted in this symposium include Strategies for Institutionalizing and Sustaining VE, Visual Storytelling, Children’s Rights, and Multilingualism in VE, among others.

Should you have any questions, please contact Dr. Ethan Trinh, Associate Director of AGSC, at ttrinh16@gsu.edu.
